Marduk-Baladan

Marduk-Baladan reigned over Babylon from 721 to 710 BC. Then he had to bow to the Assyrian rule under Sargon II. Some time after the death of Sargon, in 705 BC., he could shortly restore the Babylonian independence. But only until 702 BC., when he had to flee from Sennacherib.
