        Das Dach der flachen H\u00e4user bestand aus Holzleisten oder Ziegeln,\u00a0mit M\u00f6rtel verklebt. Es konnte leicht ge\u00f6ffnet werden.<\/p>\n

        Betten:<\/h3>\n

        Die Leute schliefen oftmals auf Matten, die man tags\u00fcber zusammenrollte.<\/p>\n

        Kafarnaum (Kapernaum):<\/h3>\n

        Stadt am Nordwestufer des Sees Genezaret in Galil\u00e4a, 4 km westl. der Jordanm\u00fcndung, die zur Zeit Jesu die Grenze zwischen dem Gebiet des Herodes Antipas (= Galil\u00e4a) und des Philippus (= Batan\u00e4a) war. Sie war Sitz eines Zollamtes (Mt. 2:14). Die Stadt war Zentrum des Wirkens Jesu sowie sein Wohnort, nachdem er Nazareth verlassen hatte (Mt:4, 13; 9:1). Die erste christliche Gemeinde bildete sich um 352 n. Chr. um den Judenchristen Joseph und erbaute am Orte des Hauses Petrus eine Kirche. (Bibellexikon Kurt Henning)<\/p>\n
